VIETNAM ACADEMY FOR WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS PROGRAM 2023

The Vietnam Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) 2023 is a fully sponsored entrepreneurial capacity building program by the U.S Department of State / U.S. Embassy Vietnam / U.S. Consulate General Ho Chi Minh City and implemented by ForGood Vietnam Network to provide women entrepreneurs with knowledge, networks, and access they need to scale successful businesses. This program has been implemented in nearly 100 countries and reached an estimated 25,000 women entrepreneurs around the world.

What will you gain from AWE 2023?

• Develop core business skills and entrepreneurial resilience
• Learn from and build networks with like-minded mentors, entrepreneurs and successful business leaders from Vietnam and U.S. Exchange Alumni

• Participate in two offline facilitated sessions, including the program launch and closing ceremonies, attended by high-ranking representatives from the U.S. Embassy, U.S. Consulate General Ho Chi Minh City and distinguished speakers/guests

• Expand your network within the vibrant startup community in Vietnam and other countries in the region
• Get the opportunity to pitch your project for seed funding of up to $300
• Become a U.S. Exchange Program Alumni and gain access to future opportunities

Are you eligible?

AWE is open to Vietnamese women

• Vietnamese women, aged 20-45 years old;
• Being business owner or currently operating a small business or running an early-stage startup or testing the prototyped business idea;
• Priorities will be given to tech-driven startups or social impact startups;
• Having a good working level of English and basic computer skills
• Demonstrating commitment to complete the series of DreamBuilder and One Million Learners courses as well as all program activities.

What is the recruitment & selection process?

(*) This is a competitive application process, and we review applications on a rolling basis. Application will be closed when 120 qualified applicants have been selected, which may be sooner than the closing date.

(**) Selection results will be released by October 17 (for early birds) and by November 17 (after the application deadline).

Note: Women entrepreneurs who register early (before October 15) and qualify have the opportunity to attend the program’s Launching ceremony on October 31. Here, you will have the chance to meet high-ranking representatives from the U.S. Embassy in Vietnam, the U.S. Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, and outstanding speakers/guests.
